Gourmet House Party in Burgundy
Enjoy an unforgettable culinary house party on the Montagne de Beaune with spectacular views over the Côte d’Or vineyards.
This autumn enjoy an extraordinary culinary journey to the home of France’s finest wine, accompanied by Cherie Mercer Twohy, author of three cookery books and Certified Culinary Professional. This trip has been designed to marry the perfect pleasure of savoring Burgundian food and wine in the heart of the most beautiful French wine region.
Enjoy explorations of the markets of Dijon and Beaune, together with cheese tastings with farmers to try wonderful goats cheeses and the famous Epoisses and Langres cheeses or the Ami du Chambertin – a cheese which perfectly complements the wonderful local red wine. There will be kitchen camaraderie with Cherie overseeing three casual farmhouse dinners prepared with charcuterie, cheese, salads and meats chosen to accompany the lovely wines of the region.
In vineyards worked by families through generations you can taste from the barrel and meet vignerons in their cellars, gaining a sense of terroir that is the very essence of Burgundy. Enjoy tutored tastings of the exceptional recent vintages from village level through to Premier and Grands Crus wines. Taste wines in the historic Beaune cellars and the beautiful 18th century estate of Domaine du Clos Frantin in Nuits-Saint- Georges.
Luxury accommodation and warm hospitality at a luxury heritage guesthouse have been carefully combined with a fabulous week inclusive of great food, wine and visits to ensure an unforgettable culinary adventure in Burgundy.
